On Saturday, November 14th, Naoshi will be signing copies of her new picture book, Ice Cream Work
, and doing a live Sunae (sand art) demo at KOBO at Higo Shop and Gallery in Seattle’s International District. All of the art in Ice Cream Work
was created using Sunae, a Japanese technique that uses shiny sand to create paintings.
• In a live demo, Naoshi will create a piece of art using Sunae (sand art).
• Naoshi will have other items for sale including do-it-yourself Sunae kits so people can create their own art using Sunae, post cards, and prints.
• This is a great opportunity for children and adults to get introduced to a new art form and see how its made. Meet Naoshi, buy a signed copy of the book and her other items.
KOBO at Higo is located at 602-608 South Jackson, Seattle, WA.
