PNBA Friday Nightcapper - Industry Event - October 2nd. You know leaves must be ready to turn when industry events are back in full swing. Pacific NW Booksellers Association (PNBA) hosts their annual conference in Portland. It's a great opportunity for bookstore employees across the Pacific NW to meet authors from the region and learn about the latest industry trends in bookselling. This year, Niki Ganong, author of The Field Guide to Drinking in America, will spend Friday evening meeting with booksellers from around the region. If you're attending the conference, stop by to meet the author and get a signed copy of The Field Guide! Requires a show badge for entry.
Ice Cream Work Book Launch Party—October 3rd. Next week we launch our fifth book, Ice Cream Work by Naoshi. This full color picture book tells the story of Ice Cream Man as he works his way through several jobs during a busy week. The surreal scenes are sure to capture the imaginations of readers of all ages. The launch party will take place at Gallery Nucleus in LA on Saturday, October 3rd from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Come out and meet Naoshi! She'll have some of her original artwork on display and attendees who buy a book will get a free scoop of ice cream!

The Tall Trees of Portland Art Exhibit October 6 - 15 at Portland City Hall. Matt Wagner, author of The Tall Trees of Portland and owner/curator of Hellion Gallery, will present a group exhibition of works featuring artists from The Tall Trees of Portland art book in the Portland City Hall Atrium from Tuesday, October 6th - Thursday, October 15th. Featured artists include: AJ Fosik, JShea, Zach Johnsen, Meredith Dittmar, Souther Salazar, Jennifer Parks, Amy Ruppel, Keith Carter, Peter Gronquist, Bradley Delay, Blaine Fontana, Tripper Dungan, Stephanie Buer, Brett Superstar, Brin Levinson, Cole Gerst, Craig Thompson, Ryan Bubnis, Josh Keyes, Ren Sakurai, Jason Graham, Jen Lobo, Martin Ontiveros, Keegan Onefoot, Maryanna Hoggat, Morgaine Faye, APAK, Neil Perry, Susannah Kelly, and Jon MacNair. Visit Portland City Hall at 1221 SW 4th Avenue in downtown Portland, Oregon. The art exhibition is free and open to the public every weekday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
