About the Author

Naoshi is an internationally acclaimed Japanese illustrator who utilizes the sand art technique, Sunae, to create surreal people living in the real world. Naoshi who currently lives in Los Angeles has had her work appear in gallery exhibitions, commercial work, and children’s workshops. Ice Cream Work is her first book, in which she introduces Sunae through a crafty “How to Make Sunae” section. Naoshi’s ultimate goal is to use her art and talent to inspire and showcase Sunae to the world.
