May 9th is National Moscato Day! A day when most of us find ourselves asking "What do you do with that bottle of moscato?" Moscato cocktail recipes for your summer Can you feel it? That instinctual urge to emerge from your winter hibernation, to step outside and bask in the sun. Sorry Ned Stark but you’re wrong - Summer is coming! It’s time to start enjoying what mother Earth has to offer. A relaxing day at the beach, a cool picnic underneath a willow tree, laying out in the grass taking in the stars. All of these sound like good ways to spend your summer hours but they’re all missing that key ingredient: a tall glass of the fresh and vibrant Italian import, Moscato wine. While moscatos are wonderful on their own, the mild fruit forward flavor, slight sweetness, and fresh often effervescent mouthfeel of these wines means they also work beautifully as a cocktail ingredient. So how do you mix it to get the full experience from this bottle of sunshine? Here are a couple of Moscato cocktail recipes to try out this summer.
