Today is the first day of fall but if you are in the Pacific Northwest with us, the cooler temperatures have already set in. And we aren’t alone!

Although we just celebrated the summery goodness of Rum Punch--and we still love fruity cocktails--we adore this change in the temp and the wonderful fall-themed drinks it inspires.

From hot to cold, these drinks will warm you up and remind you why fall is a beautiful season.

Kentucky Mulled Cider
1.25 oz bourbon
Hot apple cider
Dash of allspice
Tall cinnamon stick
Lemon slice


Whiskey Sour
1.5 oz bourbon
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp sugar
Orange slice
Maraschino cherry
Serve over ice


Maple Bourbon Old Fashioned
2 oz bourbon
2 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp water
Dash of bitters (try Orange Bitters from The Bitter Housewife)
Orange peel
Maraschino cherry


Caramel Apple Mule
1.5 oz vodka
1/2 oz caramel syrup
1 oz apple cider
Optional: top with ginger beer


South Sider (Created by: Long Distance Cocktail Club)
1.5 oz South Sister Gin
3/4 oz Dolin Blanc Vermouth
1/2 oz Bluebird Alpine Liqueur (Thomas & Sons Distillery)
1-2 dashes aromatic bitter (try The Bitter Housewife)
1 barspoon cherry heering
Serve over ice

Apple Pie Bourbon--Make your own flavored bourbon to use in a variety of drinks or savor alone
1.5 c bourbon
2 apples (green & red) chopped
3 sugar cubes
1 whole nutmeg, slightly shaved
4 cinnamon sticks
1 in piece fresh ginger
Fill mason jar with bourbon, apples, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger. Let sit for 2 to 4 days (taste after 2 and let sit longer as desired). From Delish recipe.
