The Boozy Book-Lover's Favorite Reads & Drinks: The Tall Trees of Portland + Tom Collins

Welcome back to "The Boozy Book-Lovers Favorite Reads and Drinks," where we pair DIY drinks with our favorite Overcup Press titles.

This week, we bring you a drink best enjoyed with Gin from Portland's first women-owned distillery, Freeland Spirits: the Tom Collins. This classic gin-based cocktail pairs perfectly with this week’s featured Overcup title, The Tall Trees of Portland by Matt Wagner.

The Freeland Dry Gin from Freeland Spirits adds distinct notes of spice, citrus, and juniper berry, all flavors which hearken to Portland’s beautiful forests and the art they have inspired for centuries. With 245 full-color pages, The Tall Trees of Portland showcases the work of some of Portland’s best artists and encapsulates what it means to be in a city of such creativity, individuality, and natural beauty. Flip through these gorgeous illustrations while you sip on a delicious blend of Gin, simple syrup, and soda.
