Happy Birthday, Overcup Press! We're popping the bubbly (or maybe some local craft brew?) to celebrate 14 years of publishing exceptional books for curious minds.

Remember that crazy Kickstarter campaign back in 2010? It launched us headfirst into the world of independent publishing, and guess what? We haven't looked back since. Matt Wagner's The Tall Trees of Tokyo became the cornerstone of our unique identity, sparking a three-book series that spotlights artistic talent from bustling cities like Paris to our very own Portland.

But Overcup's bookshelf is bursting with more than just art! We're talking captivating narratives that span genres – from a music-focused essay collection like A Mind Full of Music by Chris Forhan to laugh-out-loud guides like The Field Guide to Drinking in America: A Traveler’s Guide to State Liquor Laws by Niki Ganong (because, let's be honest, who doesn't need a little help navigating state liquor laws?).

Calling all architecture enthusiasts! Dive into the rich design details of Tilikum Crossing by Donald MacDonald and Ira Nadel, or get lost in the fascinating world of Buckminster Fuller with Cole Gerst's Buckminster Fuller: Poet of Geometry.

Passionate about the Pacific Northwest? We've got you covered! Explore the region's environmental history with geologist Ruby McConnell's Ground Truth and Wilderness and the American Spirit. Or, embark on a delicious journey through Middle Eastern cuisine with Angela Cohen's Persian Delicacies – a vibrant homage to her family's heritage.

We haven't forgotten the little ones! Overcup Press is proud to publish whimsical children's books that will spark imaginations. Internationally acclaimed artist Naoshi Sunae's Ice Cream Work and Tako Knows are guaranteed to enchant young readers, while Maryanna Hoggatt's award-winning Tolly brings charming characters to life in a cinematic adventure.

Over the years, we've been honored to receive a shelf full of awards for our books! From design accolades for Tolly and 99 Ways to Make a Pipe to recognition for the sheer brilliance of The Field Guide to Drinking in America (seriously, this book is a national treasure), these awards are a testament to the incredible talent we get to work with every day at Overcup.

But the biggest reward is YOU! Since 2012, it's been a privilege to be the home for stories that resonate with curious readers like yourself. Here's to another 14 years (and maybe even more!) of publishing delightful reads and working with passionate authors.
