A Mind Full of Music: Essays on Imagination and Popular Song is a captivating exploration of the profound connection between music and our minds. In this thought-provoking book, Chris Forhan delves into the enigmatic relationship we have with the songs we love, examining how they shape our thoughts and how our imaginative and memorable experiences influence our perception of music. Rather than presenting a linear narrative, the book takes an associative approach, interweaving topics and inspiring new thoughts along the way.

Forhan's writing style is both poetic and informative, immersing readers in his personal reflections and experiences with music. He discusses the power of lyrics, the intricate workings of songs on our minds, and the diverse ways in which we respond to different genres and eras.

Through engaging anecdotes and analysis, the author invites readers to rediscover their own connections to music and relish in the joy it brings. With endorsements from notable figures such as Griel Marcus, Gayle Brandeis, Liz Prato, and members of The Head and the Heart, A Mind Full of Music is a four-dimensional mixtape that resonates deeply with readers. Whether you're a music aficionado seeking a new perspective or someone looking to rekindle their love for music, this book offers generous insights and a profound appreciation for the art form.
